Amos Odeyemi Church, Alabata was the first stop when the diocesan Rt. Rev. E.O Oludaisi and his entourage visited at the Episcopal visit to Osiele Archdeaconry on the 22nd of July, 2017. At the church, the diocesan meet eager members of the archdeaconry already anticipating for his arrival. He prayed for members and encouraged them to serve God zealously.
The diocesan and his entourage also visited Oota Township where he had an interview with one of the villagers who told him about the challenges facing the village. He mandated the archdeacon and other members of the archdeaconry to revive the church at Oota. He continued to Ebenezer Church, Ilagbe, at Ilagbe, the bishop advised the members of the church to reconstruct the church instead of embarking on building of a new church structure. He expressed displeasure at the poor state of the church and implored them to do the reconstruction in earnest.
At Christ Church, Odeda, the diocesan laid the foundation of the vicarage amidst showers of rain and donated 50 bags of cement to assist with the project.
St. Paul’s Sokan was the next point of call by the diocesan and his entourage. The diocesan encouraged the members of the church secure hectares of land and invest in farming. At Christ Church, Aderupoko, the diocesan assured the members of 60 slates to be used for the ceiling of the church.
The diocesan met a large congregation at Christ Church, Bantun despite the rains which came down in torrents. In the rain, the diocesan and his entourage visited Christ Church Apena Kemta, Christ Church, Adedun and Itesi Ajegunle
At 5:50pm, a confirmation service was held at St. Mary’s Church, Osiele where the diocesan told those to be confirmed to forsake every vices in their in their lives as Mary Magdalene did. He further admonished them to live for Christ and him alone. The visit ended at 7:30pm
