On Friday, 15th of September, 2017, the Diocesan, Rt. Rev. Emmanuel Oludaisi Adekunle paid an episcopal visit to the Elega Archdeaconry.The visit started with St. Marks and all Angels, Ilupeju where the diocesan and his entourage were welcomed with pleasantries. He prayed for members of the church before proceeding to St. James Angican Church FHE Elega where the diocesan dedicated Borehole taps constructed by the church for members of the community. He expressed his delight at the gesture by the church in order to minister to the needs of their neighbours. He also dedicated the billboard constructed by the church.
The visit continued to Arch. Rowland Church, Baleeshi where the Diocesan was highly impressed by the effort of the women in the archdeaconry towards the building of the church structure as he donated the sum of N360,000 on behalf of Mama Egba, Dr. Mrs. Olubinmpe Adekunle.
The Diocesan also visited Anglican Church at Agba- akin Oosa where he laid the foundation for the new structure there. He likewise visited Onward Fijabi Estate land site and prayed on it for the use by the church. in the same vein prayed for the donor of the land.
He later visited St. James group of Schools and commissioned the structure for use. He admonished members as well as priests present to key into the vision of evangelism and education of the diocese. He appreciated the efforts of the Baba Ijo of St. James, Prince Gbadebo, the Archdeacon, Ven. J. Odebunmi and other dignitaries for efforts put in place for the structure of the school.
The last point of call was EVOMAC, Church where a confirmation Service was held.The visit came to an end at 4:15pm.
